BEYOND DIVISION:
The resilient lives of 30 diverse Israeli women leaders
Drawn from fresh post-pandemic interviews, Beyond Division relates stories of how thirty diverse Israeli women leaders, artists, scientists, philanthropists, healers, academics—religious and secular Jews, Christians, Druze, Ethiopians, Arabs, and others, from the North to the South—lead lives of purpose in their polarized nation, despite war and socio-ethnic differences.
This unique collection of personal stories reveals the experiences, struggles, and successes of thirty diverse women leaders. Beyond Division paints a vivid picture of Israel’s past, present, and future challenges while depicting a love of country that unites all and inspires hope.
“A unique picture of Israeli society that is particularly significant today,
[when] Israel of 2023 is experiencing a crisis in its regime and principles…The documentation of our societal reality from the perspective of women leaders may help in understanding the causes of the current polarization, but, more importantly, can also help us identify sources of unity and hope.”
— from the Foreword by Professor Uriel Reichman, founder, and chairman, of Reichman University, a former member of Knesset”
“To understand Israel today this is a must-read!
From my semester at Hebrew University, to working with Israel Bonds, there has never been a better collection that captures the incredible pioneering, entrepreneurial spirit of Israel’s women. With each life of these women, Bilha shows us the sum of the Israel's miracle.”

About Bilha
An Israeli-American immigrant and distinguished radiologist, Bilha was born and raised in Haifa, and journeyed from Israel to medical school in Italy, to New York City’s most esteemed hospitals, and to Long Island, where she founded Manhasset Diagnostic Imaging and Pathways Women’s Health. A longtime advocate for women’s empowerment, Dr. Fish’s two books align with her commitment to stand up to hate, racism, and fear born of misinformation. She lives in New York City and Sag Harbor, New York.
Her first book, ‘INVINCIBLE WOMEN’, is a compilation of inspiring first-person interviews with 21 American immigrants who succeeded in their adopted country, a book she wrote to counter the anti-immigrant stigma growing in the U.S.
